Abstract: A unique method for the synthesis of substituted 1-naphthols by a rhodium(II)-catalysed ring-expansion reaction of 2-triazolyl-1-indanone derivatives is reported. 1,2-Acyl migration occurs with an intermediate α-imino rhodium carbenoid generated from the triazolyl moiety. read more here.
