Abstract: Cobalt-catalyzed Markovnikov-selective hydroamination of nonactivated olefins was developed. Hydrogen atom transfer from a catalytically generated cobalt(III)-hydride complex to the olefins proceeded regioselectively, and the nucleophilic addition of benzotriazoles occurred selectively at their N2-positions.
