Abstract: An efficient palladium-catalyzed isomerization/hydrocarbonylation of electron-deficient alkenes was developed, affording a variety of benzofuran-2(3H)-ones, dihydrofuran-2(3H)-ones, indolin-2-ones, and isochroman-3-ones in high yields.
