Abstract: Chronic nonhealing or recurrent inflammatory lesions, reminiscent of infection but recalcitrant to antibiotic therapy, generally characterize biofilm‐driven diseases. Chronic lesions of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) exhibit several characteristics, which are compatible with well‐known biofilm infections.
