Abstract: Two biomarkers, 5,9-dimethyl-6-isopropyl-2-decanone (1) and 4,9,11-trimethyl-6-isopropyl-2-dodecanone (2), were isolated from Chinese Maoming oil shale by silica gel column chromatography and preparative gas chromatography.
