Abstract: Abstract 2,2,2-Trichloro-N-[(trimethylsilyl)methyl]acetamide and 2,2,2-trimethyl-N-[(trimethylsilyl)-methyl]acetamide were prepared by reaction of N-[(trimethylsilyl)methyl]amine with acid chlorides of the corresponding acids.
