Abstract: Sugar alcohols can be converted to mono-alcohols in good yields over a Pt–WOx/SiO2 catalyst without C–C dissociation, and 1,4-butanediol and 1,4-anhydroxylitol can also be produced in good yields with related systems. read more here.
