Published in 2018 at "Bioorganic chemistry"

DOI: 10.1016/j.bioorg.2018.01.028

Abstract: Some derivatives containing pyrido[2,3-d:6,5d']dipyrimidine-4,5-diones (9a-f), tetrahydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carbonitriles (11a-c) and 6-(4-acetylphenyl)-2-thioxo-2,3,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-1H-pyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidin-4-one (12) were synthesized from 6-amino-2-thioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrimidin-4-one (8). The anti-inflammatory effect of these candidates was determined and the ulcer indices were calculated for active compounds. 7-Amino-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-4-oxo-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrido[2,3-d] pyrimidine-6-carbonitrile (11c)… read more here.

Published in 2018 at "Journal of molecular and cellular cardiology"

DOI: 10.1016/j.yjmcc.2017.12.015

Abstract: OBJECTIVE Pathologically increased activity of Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) and the associated Ca2+-leak from the sarcoplasmic reticulum are recognized to be important novel pharmacotherapeutic targets in heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias. However, CaMKII-inhibitory compounds… read more here.

Published in 2022 at "Frontiers in Chemistry"

DOI: 10.3389/fchem.2022.922813

Abstract: In this study, twenty novel pyrimidine derivatives bearing a 1,3,4-thiadiazole skeleton were designed and synthesized. Then their antifungal activity against Botrytis cinereal (B. cinereal), Botryosphaeria dothidea (B. dothidea), and Phomopsis sp. were determined using the… read more here.

Published in 2023 at "Molecules"

DOI: 10.3390/molecules28020739

Abstract: A novel series of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines; pyrido[3,2-e][1,3,4]triazolo; and tetrazolo[1,5-c]pyrimidines were synthesized via different chemical transformations starting from pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin-6-yl)-N,N-dimethylcarbamimidic chloride 3b (prepared from the reaction of o-aminonitrile 1b and phosogen iminiumchloride). The structures of the newly synthesized… read more here.
