Abstract: We study phenomenologically a ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ production spectrum of the $^{9}\mathrm{Be}({K}^{\ensuremath{-}},{K}^{+})$ reaction at 1.8 GeV/$c$ within the distorted-wave impulse approximation using the optimal Fermi-averaged ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Xi}}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ amplitude.
