Abstract: The chain coordination polymerization of (ethynylarene)carbaldehydes with unprotected carbaldehyde groups, namely ethynylbenzaldehydes, 1-ethynylbenzene-3,5-dicarboxaldehyde, and 3-[(4-ethynylphenyl)ethynyl]benzaldehyde, is reported for the first time.
