Abstract: The reaction of octa-2-hydroxyethylated calix[4]resorcinols with phosphorous acid amides and the subsequent thionylation by elemental sulfur afforded hydrolytically stable oxyethyl calix[4]resorcinols containing eight thiophosphoryl fragments.
