Abstract: New steroidal glycoside 1 was isolated by fractionating total extracted substances from Allium porrum. Its structure was determined as (25R)-5_-spirostane-3β,6β-diol-2,12-dione 3-O-{β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)-[β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)]-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-Dgalactopyranoside} using chemical transformations, physical constants, and spectral data.
