Abstract: Abstract We report on the reaction between bis(dithiophosphonate) ligands of the type [NH4]2[S2P(1,4-C6H4OMe)(OCH2CH=CHCH2O)P(1,4-C6H4OMe)S2}] (L1) and the two common metal nitrates, Zn(NO3)2·6H2O and Cd(NO3)2·4H2O, in aqueous solution.
