Abstract: HIGHLIGHTSSteroidal 6‐substituted 4‐en‐3‐one D‐seco dinitriles are synthesized.Most of the tested compounds express strong antiproliferative activity against HeLa and/or MDA‐MB‐231.Apoptosis induction in the treated MDA‐MB‐231 and HeLa cells is revealed.
