Abstract: Several N-2(5H)-furanone compounds were synthesized successfully and were characterized systematically. Compounds bearing piperazine and trifluoromethyl moieties 1q were the best COX-2 inhibitors with ultrahigh selectivity index compared to celecoxib. read more here.
