Abstract: A novel strategy is demonstrated for Lewis base-activated trifluoromethylsulfinylation of allylic alcohols. Controllable synthesis of structurally varied allylic trifluoromethanesulfones via sigmatropic rearrangements was performed, and trifluoromethanesulfinate esters were achieved.
