Abstract: Abstract Some new pyridopyrimidinones derivatives (PPDs) namely (E)-2-(hexadecylthio)-8-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,2,3,6,7,8-hexahydro-4H-cyclopenta[5,6] pyrido[2,3-d] pyrimidin 4 -one (Compound I) and (E)-8-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-5-(4-methoxyphenyl) -2-thioxo-1,2,3,6,7,8-hexahydro-4H-cyclopenta [5,6] pyrido [2,3-d] pyrimidin-4-one (Compound II) were synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and mass spectroscopy.
