Abstract: Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) coated with 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ionic liquid (IL) (ZnO‐[BMIM][BF4] NPs) and ZnO NPs without IL coating were both synthesized by co‐precipitation.
