Abstract: A new α-ionone, (Z)-4-hydroxy-3,5,5-trimethyl-4-(3′-oxobut-1′-enyl)cyclohex-2-enone (1) was isolated from the flower of Michelia champaca L. The structure of the new α-ionone was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence. read more here.
